How to Edit Your Donation

Online donations to Sefaria are managed through Classy, a popular fundraising solution used by nonprofit organizations to manage payments and keep user payment information safe. To change any aspect of your donation, obtain receipts, or otherwise engage with how you support Sefaria, you will need to create a free account with Classy.

How to create a free Classy account

  1. Check your inbox for an email from info@sefaria-inc.classy-mail.org confirming your donation to Sefaria.
  2. In the email, click on the 'Manage Your Donation' button. A window will open with instructions for registering for your Classy account. 

How to change your donation amount or frequency

  1. Visit https://www.classy.org/sso and log in to your Classy account using the email address you entered when you donated
  2. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a menu with possible actions. Click on Transactions. 
  3. Click on Recurring Giving Plans.
  4. Locate the recurring donation associated with Sefaria and click the Recurring Plan ID.  
  5. Next to Donation Details, click the Edit button to open a form with options for updating the frequency and amount of your recurring donation details. 
  6. After entering the relevant information, click on the Save button at the top right of the form. 

How to update your credit card information

  1. Visit https://www.classy.org/sso and log in to your Classy account using the email address you entered when you donated.
  2. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a menu with possible actions. Click on Transactions.
  3. Click on Recurring Giving Plans.
  4. Locate the recurring donation associated with Sefaria and click the Recurring Plan ID.  
  5. Next to Payment Details, click the Change Payment button to open a form where you can update your credit card or bank account information.
  6. After entering the relevant information, click on the Save button located at the top right of the form. 

Please note:

  • Your Classy account is NOT the same as your Sefaria account (these must be kept separate in order to properly protect your payment information). Therefore, you will need to create a separate password for each account.
  • If you have already donated to Sefaria or another organization that works with Classy, you may have an existing account. If this is the case, when you click the ‘Manage Your Donation’ button, a window will open where you can log into your Classy account.
  • If you don’t see the confirmation email, check your spam folder. Sometimes email platforms mistakenly classify this email as spam.
