How to Access Notes You’ve Taken

When you’re exploring Sefaria’s library, you can take notes on the texts you read and return to them later. Notes are private and can only be seen by account users. Please note: In order to take, edit, or delete notes, you must be logged into a Sefaria account.

There are two ways to access the notes you've taken: 

  • By clicking on a specific annotated text
  • By accessing your profile page

To find notes by clicking on a specific annotated text:

  1. Log in to your Sefaria Account. 
  2. Click on the passage you’ve annotated to open the Resource Panel.
  3. Scroll down to locate the Notes subheading, found under TOOLS.
  4. Click on Notes to open the specific annotation.

To find notes by accessing your profile page:

  1. Log in to your Sefaria Account. 
  2. Click on your profile button, located at the top right corner of the screen, to open a dropdown menu.
  3. Click on Profile to open your profile page.
  4. Click on Notes, found next to a pencil icon, to see a list of all of your notes alongside the relevant passage or verse and a linked citation.
