Quick Guide: Meet the Sefaria Library App

The Sefaria Library App, available both for iOS and Android, allows users to access the entire Sefaria Library on the go. In addition to online access to texts and their links or interconnections, you can also download nearly all of the texts in our digital stacks for offline access. 

Download the Sefaria Library App:

• To download the app for a device that uses an Android operating system, visit the Google Play Store. 
• To download the app for a device that uses an Apple iOS, visit the App Store.

The Sefaria Library App is free to use and does not require a Sefaria account. However, by logging into your Sefaria account on the app, you can access your reading history, personal preferences, and notes you've taken while using Sefaria on other devices.

Please note: Voices on Sefaria, our hub for producing and exploring user-created content, is not available via the Sefaria Library App. 

To Download Texts for Offline Access

Downloading texts from the Sefaria library requires an internet connection. Once your download is complete, you’ll be able to navigate the library while offline. 

To download texts to your device: 

1. Tap Account in the bottom-right corner of your screen. 
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down to the OFFLINE ACCESS subheader. 
4. Tap the check-box next to the sections of the library you wish to download. The download process will begin immediately. 

Please note: 

• Each listed option notes how much space the downloaded content will take up on your device. 
• To cancel a download before it completes, tap the checkbox again to uncheck.
• To download the entire library, tap the checkbox next to COMPLETE LIBRARY
