How to Download Texts for Offline Learning

Nearly all of Sefaria’s extensive library can be freely downloaded to your mobile device, giving you access even without an internet connection. You can choose whether to download all available texts in the library at once or individual sections.

By default, the texts you download will be available on your device in their original language along with a default translation (if applicable and available), regardless of language or translation preferences you may have designated online. Tanakh texts are downloaded with all available versions, allowing you to switch translations when accessing Sefaria offline. 

To download texts to your device: 

1. Tap on Account, found in the bottom-right corner of your screen. 
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Scroll down to find the OFFLINE ACCESS subheader. 
4. Tap the check-boxes next to the sections of the library you wish to download. The download process will begin immediately. 

Please note:

• Each listed option notes how much space the downloaded content will take up on your device. 
• To cancel a download before it completes, tap the checkbox again to uncheck.
• To download the entire library, tap the checkbox next to COMPLETE LIBRARY.
