How to Access Connections on the Sefaria Library App

The Sefaria Library is fully interconnected, with related texts connected to one another in order to enable a richer, more accessible learning experience. This functionality is available both when viewing a text in a browser and in the Sefaria Library App. 

 

To find interconnected texts on the Sefaria Library App:

  1. Click on any passage of text to open the Resource Panel. On the app, the resource panel appears at the bottom of your screen. 
  2. Tap on the category of text you’d like to see.

For example: If you’re looking for Rashi’s commentary on Genesis 1:5:

  1. Tap on Genesis 1:5 to open the Resource Panel.
  2. Tap on the Commentary subheading to see all the available commentaries in the library, listed alphabetically.
  3. Tap on Rashi to see his writing about this verse. 

Please note: To see any connected text in its entirety, tap on it to open a pop-up menu. Click Open (Title of Connected Text) to open the selected text or cancel to continue without opening.
