To change the way the Divine Name appears in a Google Doc:

  1. In the header of your Google Docs interface, click on Extensions to open a dropdown menu.
  2. Hover over Sefaria for Google Docs to open an additional dropdown menu.
  3. Click Transform Divine Names to open an additional dropdown menu with name options.
  4. Click your preferred spelling to transform all instances of the Divine Name in your Google Doc.

Please note:

  • This tool transforms all instances of the Divine Name at once. Therefore, it is not necessary to repeat this process for each individual citation. To save time, we recommend using this feature either when your document is complete or periodically, as you work. Also, once you’ve used the tool, make sure to review the document to ensure everything looks exactly the way you would like.
  • Currently, there are three options available for spelling the Divine Name, all in Hebrew.
