How to Add Video, Image, and Audio Files to a Sheet

The Sefaria Sheet Editor allows users to create their own compilations of texts and media, such as music, images, or videos. These compilations are then saved within the Voices on Sefaria platform. When published, Sheets can be discovered, read, and even iterated upon by other Voices on Sefaria users.  

Please note: To create a Sheet on Voices on Sefaria, you must have a Sefaria account.

To add images to a Sheet:

1. Log in to your Sefaria Account on Voices on Sefaria and open your Sheet.
2. Click on + icon, found on the top left side of the Sheet Editor, to open a menu with three icons.
3. Click on the image icon (the middle icon) to open a window displaying your device storage.
4. Click on your desired image file from within your device storage.
5. Click the Open button to add the image to your Sheet.  

To add video or audio files to a Sheet:

1. Log in to your Sefaria Account on Voices on Sefaria and open your Sheet.
2. Click on + icon, found on the top left side of the Sheet Editor, to see three icons.
3. Click on the video icon (the left-most icon) to open a search bar.
4. Type the web address (url) of the video or audio file in question into the search bar.
5. Click the Add Media button to add the video or audio to your Sheet. 

Please note: 

• Video or audio files must be added by inputting a link from a hosting site, such as Spotify or YouTube.
• It is not necessary to use the + icon menu to add other content, such as text copied from an alternate source or your original text, to a Sheet. This is achieved by typing or copying as you would when using any other word processing software (e.g. Microsoft Word).
