How to Update Your Sefaria Profile & Account Settings

Once you’ve signed up for a Sefaria account, you will have a customizable user profile. You can update your profile to include as much or as little information as you want. Your account information is consistent in both the Sefaria Library and Voices on Sefaria platforms. However, your profile pages will present you with information and options consistent with the use of each platform.

• In the Sefaria Library, your Account Settings page allows you to update settings related to studying texts found in the digital stacks. 
• In Voices on Sefaria, your Profile Page allows you to access and edit Sheets and Sheet Collections

To access your Sefaria Library Account Settings and update your preferences: 

1. Navigate to the Sefaria Library homepage, found at www.sefaria.org and log into your account.
2. Click on the profile button, found in the top right corner of your screen, to open a dropdown menu.
3. Click on Account Settings, the first option in the dropdown menu.
4. Update any settings to indicate your preferences. These include:
   • Notification Frequency
   • Site Language
   • Preferred Translation Language
   • Reading History Tracker On/Off
   • Preferred Custom for Weekly Haftarot (Sephardi/Ashkenazi)
   • Account email
5. Click on the Save button, found at the top of the form.

To access your Voices on Sefaria Profile Page and update your preferences:

1. Navigate to the Voices on Sefaria homepage, found at voices.sefaria.org and log into your account.
2. Click on the profile button, found in the top right corner of your screen, to open a dropdown menu.
3. Click on Profile, the first option on the dropdown menu.
4. Click on the Edit Profile button to open a form with a variety of customizable information options.
5. Update any personal information you wish to make publicly available to other users. This includes:
   • Name
   • Title
   • Organization
   • Website
   • Location
   • Bio
   • and more
6. Click on the Save button, found at the top right corner of the provided form. Alternatively, click on the Cancel button to cancel changes. 

Please note: You can only change your profile picture by accessing your Voices on Sefaria Profile Page.

To update your profile picture: 

1. Navigate to the Voices on Sefaria homepage, found at voices.sefaria.org and log into your account.
2. Click on the profile button, found in the top right corner of your screen, to open a dropdown menu.
3. Click on Profile, the first option on the dropdown menu.
4. Click on the Add Picture button, found at the top right of the screen.
5. Select your preferred image from your device’s storage.
6. Click on Save.

Please note: In order to crop the image, drag the provided circle until your desired dimensions are achieved.
