The Sefaria Sheet Editor is a tool that allows Voices on Sefaria users to create their own compilations of texts and media. Sheets may include texts from within the library, multimedia resources, or original text. Sources may also be copied from Sheets written by others.

Note: You must be logged into your Sefaria account in order to create or edit a Sheet. Creating a Sefaria account is free.

Any segment of someone else’s Sheet can be copied to your own Sheet. This includes Sefaria Library sources, images, and outside texts.

To copy a segment of someone else’s sheet:

  1. Select the segment you would like to copy by clicking on it. The selected segment will have a green background.
  2. Click Add to Sheet, found at the bottom of the segment, to open a pop-up menu.
  3. Use the dropdown menu in the center of the pop-up menu to select the Sheet to which you would like to add the segment. Or, to add the selected segment to a new Sheet, type the name of the new Sheet in the text bar indicated by the words Name New Sheet.
  4. Click Add to Sheet.
